Robbie's Thoughts

Why did you choose UCCS?

I chose to come to UCCS because of the MA in Leadership with Concentration in SAHE program. It was the best decision to further my education and allowed me to continue working with Fraternity and Sorority Life which is what I want to do post-graduation.

What is your first memory of engagement on campus?

I began working in the Department of Student Life right after moving to Colorado and my first memory of engagement was working with the students in Fraternity and Sorority Life at a President’s Council Meeting. It was exciting to get to know the student leaders involved in FSL and begin building a positive relationship with them in hopes for a great academic year.

What made you want to work in Student Life?

I had just finished working as a Leadership Consultant for the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta and was looking to continue working in something related to Fraternity and Sorority Life while pursuing a master’s degree. I have a passion for working with student leaders, especially those who are involved in FSL during their undergraduate career.

What is your favorite event that Student Life puts on?

My favorite event so far was Club and Org Field Day on Alpine Field. It was awesome to see all the different organizations engaging with the new students at the beginning of the academic year.

Are you a part of any clubs? If so, why did you join?

I’m involved with the Student Affairs Association (SAA) which is a club made up of graduate students in the SAHE Program. I serve as the 1st Year Cohort Representative and have hopes to serve as the Club President going into my last year as a graduate student at UCCS.
