Favorite CLC Memory
It is so difficult to choose one great memory from the thousands I experienced while in CLC and with CLC friends. One particular weekend stands out, though. My third year in the program I was able to serve as the Student Director of Scholar Development and work closely with the Director and other student leaders to plan and lead the Retreat at the beginning of the year. We spent three days in a relaxed environment filled with games, leadership exercises, and learning activities. While the Retreat is always a highlight, that particular year was so memorable because I was able to watch the training that CLC gave me be put to use to empower and engage other students.
Advice for CLC Scholars
College is a great time to figure out how you personally can balance responsibilities, school, friends, and family. It can be a struggle, but I encourage you to take advantage of the broad range of activities and experiences that CLC can offer. This is just one step in your life, so choose several things to get involved with that will be significant and diverse. Even if it doesn't have to do with your major, you can still learn a lot!
