Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me, I am Daniel Baker, I am a sophomore majoring biomedical science and minoring political science. I aspire to become a board certified emergency and intensive care medicine physician, additionally, during my EM residency I hope to also complete an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Medical Director fellowship. I have worked in the field of public safety since 18 years old and before that was a sheriff's explorer from age 12 - my passion for serving the community runs deep. I have established the UCCS EMS club with a goal of creating a student run, student lead EMS department on campus to reduce the time it takes to have emergency care respond to our campus. I currently work as a paramedic and in my free time enjoy hiking, kayaking, and traveling.
